ABOUT THE PRODUCER
About Stolpman Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc
Stolpman Vineyards Sauvignon Blanc has lemon, citrus spray, and a zesty texture on the front with dried hay behind. Razor-sharp-focused wine. Stolpman Sauvignon Blanc always carries more layers and nuance due to the vineyard’s low yields. 2019 certainly notches up the depth and ripeness of the cuvée. Intense pear and apple flesh with a tangy hit of tangerine citrus rather than the more typical Sauvignon Blanc lemon-lime profile. In the mouth, the texture feels popping with underlying feathery layers and a refreshing zip of crispness throughout.
About Stolpman Vineyards
Over 20 years ago, Tom Stolpman discovered what he believed to be one of the greatest viticultural sites on earth. Hidden in the hills of California’s Central Coast, on a rare limestone outcropping & unobstructed from the Pacific Ocean wind, this unique land is naturally suited to grow Syrah and Roussanne grapes. Stolpman is committed to preserving this natural environment for their vines through conscious farming, dry farming, & sustainable employment. In the winery, they prefer native fermentation & minimal manipulation.
Dedicated to sensible farming & winemaking, Stolpman Winery believes that they can create vibrant, site-specific wines, with a focus unique to the Ballard Canyon AVA in California.
