About Sebastien Van de Sype
Sebastien Van de Sype’s winery was officially born in 2020, with the conviction of producing wines without compromising on quality, and in full respect of natural balances. Tenuta La Fiaminga has an area of almost 10 hectares, half of which is cultivated with Grasparossa grapes (the vines are 15 years old on average) and a small portion of land cultivated in Trebbiano. An ambitious project has been launched, which involves the construction of a new winery in the domain over the next 5 years. Until then, a colleague’s production facilities, located at a distance of only 500 m from the vineyard, will be used. Sebastien produces Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro, a sparkling wine with a ruby red color. The production philosophy is entirely based on the “ancestral method” and on the “traditional method”, with the fermentation process finalized in the bottle. The goal is to provide a quality natural product, expressing the grape variety to its full potential and avoiding “industrial” or “corrective” techniques.
