About Reverdito
The Reverdito winery of La Morra was born in 2000, and is the arrival point of a long journey undertaken by Silvano, the father of the owners, the brothers Michele and Sabina Reverdito, in the late 60s.
It is the story of the progressive acquisitions of vineyards, starting from 1967 with the Bricco Cogni (municipality of La Morra) then with the Additional Geographical Mentions Ascheri (municipality of La Morra), Badarina (Serralunga d’Alba), Riva Rocca (municipality di Verduno), Bricco San Pietro (municipality of Monforte d’Alba), La Serra, Castagni and Berri (in the municipality of La Morra), now count 26 hectares of vineyards located in some of the best-known municipalities of the Barolo DOCG denomination.
At the origin of everything, there is a deep love for the land of Langa and a great respect for the environment in which we live: two traits that are strongly reflected in the choices made by Michele Reverdito in the management of the vineyard. Supported by his friend and agronomic consultant Beppe Vivalda, Michele cultivates his own vineyards by excluding the use of invasive chemical elements and polluting factors for the soil, groundwater, and the environment.
“Experimentation in the cellar, professional curiosity, and the evolution of the palate has led me to develop my personal taste over the years. Today I am aware that my ideal wine has traits of elegance, finesse, and recognisability, which are the distinctive features of our most native vine, Nebbiolo, vinified in an absolutely traditional way.” – Sabina Reverdito
