ABOUT THE PRODUCER

About Pequena Adega Romana Galerno

Pequena Adega Romana Galerno is a natty chillable red blend of Garnacha and the white grape Godello. Bright and punchy, with Bing cherry, wild strawberry, soft herbs, and pepper spice. The Garnacha Tintorera ferments and matures in amphorae while the Godello does so in chestnut barrels. In amphora, they rest for 9 months before being bottled without adding sulfur dioxide.

About Pequena Adega Romana

Francesco Testa is a very Italian singer-songwriter and now also a wine producer, and he does this by using and recovering old vineyards in Galicia. He is a collaborator of La Perdida, and for the first vintage released, he is using their cellars to make wine.

Pequena Adega Romana means small Roman winery and is a dedication to the ancient Romans who managed to reach the Atlantic Ocean here.

A proponent of the nothing-added, nothing-taken-away production philosophy, in the vineyard his approach is as natural and non-interventionist as it is in the cellar. His wines are aged in the characteristic tinajas, the amphorae made by Padilla according to ancient traditions.
