About Milan Nestarec, the Winemaker

Milan Nestarec has quickly become the star winemaker of the Czech Republic. His wines display so much life, vitality, and originality. They have become very sought after all over the world in a very short time. . The wines represent the full evolution of his original vision of a full range of wines. From quaffable yet energetic and inexpensive wines like the Forks and Knives. Big boy liter bottlings of Nach and Bel. Plus, the expressive skin-fermented wines, made entirely without additions of sulfur.

About the Nestarec Winery

Milan’s father planted 8 hectares of vines in 2001 in two wine-growing municipalities. These were Moravský Žižkov and Velké Bílovice. Milan studied winemaking with Aleš Kristančič of Moravia Winery. Here he learned a great deal about the delicate art of making skin-fermented white wines. Milan uses no herbicides and the vines grow by organic means. He believes that gentle methods should happen in the vineyard and cellar. This produces the best results. All wines in the cellar fermented with native yeast. They are usually vinified in neutral oak and acacia barrels.
