Mommenpop Meyer Lemonpop Aperitif is a limited edition, seasonal spring release made with single-harvest California Meyer lemons. Exactly the kind of beverage you’ll want to drink on a warm evening in a lush garden. Blissfully scented with subtly sweet floral musk, a burst of Meyer lemon peel meets the beautiful, fresh herb: tarragon. Delicious poured with an extra-large ice cube or mixed with gin or vodka in one of your favorite classic cocktails.
About Mommenpop
Napa winemaker Samantha Sheehan has harnessed California sunshine to create light, bright, and exhilarating aperitifs that are delicious on their own, sensational with anything bubbly, and are inspiring an array of delicious cocktails.
Samantha has been making Champagne method sparkling wine, rosé, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Meunier, and Cabernet under the brands Poe Wines and Ultraviolet Wines for 10 years. She’s been featured in The San Francisco Chronicle, Food & Wine Magazine, Saveur, Bloomberg, Wine & Spirits Magazine, Punch, LA Weekly, 7X7 Magazine, and others.
In 2017, Sam was on a spritz kick – drinking Campari and Aperol spritzes almost daily over the course of a particularly hot summer. She developed Mommenpop that year — just for her family and friends — as a less-sweet, dye-free alternative to aperitifs that she loves, but that were giving her consistent hangovers. Mommenpop ended up in Wine & Spirits Magazine later that same year as one of their “Top New Spirits of 2017,” so she decided to make a commercial production. She continues to make Mommenpop in Napa, with the same artisanal mindset as though she were making it for friends and family.
Samantha lives in Napa with her husband, Michael McDermott, renowned label designer (and creator of Poe, Ultraviolet and Mommenpop labels and packaging). They have two sons, Owen and Cash, and a high-energy pup, Jet.
