About Luciano Landi
Founded in the 1950s by Sergio Landi, the Marche winery Luciano Landi produces great examples of the up-and-coming wines of the Le Marche region. The vineyards benefit from long, sunny days alternating with cool evenings, with temperatures moderated by sea breezes.
The family, now in the third generation of winemaking, tends to its vineyards with great care, incorporating its many years of experience into improving viticulture through organic principles. They. produce the authentic, traditional wines of the Jesi DOCs.
Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC is a crisp white wine that pairs well with the varied cuisine of the Marche region–consisting of both sea and land-based dishes. It is a great value for those who like crisp white wines with character and complexity.
Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC is an ancient grape varietal that nearly went extinct, but once again rose to prominence in the region thanks to a group of growers including Sergio Landi. Lacrima is the Italian word for “tear”, and the grape is named this way because if it is harvested too late, then liquid will weep from the grape much like a tear. It is unique among red wines, with a burst of fresh-cut violets that literally jumps out of the glass
