Vintage: 2021
Region: Anjou, France
Viticulture: Organic
Grape Varieties: 100% Chenin Blanc
Les Terres Blanches 3 Poiriers is a rich and textured organic Chenin Blanc from Anjou. Ripe peach and apricot, zesty lemon, and mineral-driven acidity. The fruit is grown according to biodynamic principles. The pressing is gentle and slow and the juices are drained entirely by gravity into barrels without settling or pumping. Alcoholic fermentation can be rapid depending on late-season temperatures, or end the following year at the end of spring, or even at the beginning of summer. As for malolactic fermentation, it is increasingly common. The aging cellar is regulated naturally, thanks to natural hygrometry through the presence of two wells at the ends of the cellar. The wine is bottled the September following harvest. Unfined, unfiltered, with no added sulfites.

About Les Terres Blanches
Our estate is a constellation of small plots in a landscape naturally protected by trees, groves, meadows, and bird sanctuaries.
Since our arrival in 2004, we have replanted 5 hectares of vines with our massal selections to ensure a human and economic balance. Today we have 10 hectares of vines: the Chenin grape varieties and a few acres of Chardonnay for the white wines, Cabernet Franc and Gamay de Bouze for the red wines, and also Gamay Beaujolais for a little bit of rosé.
The precision of our wines is only the transparency of our agronomic work perpetuated each year in the vineyard. We shape the work in our vineyards as in the cellar to the rhythms of the seasons and the lunar calendar, in organic and biodynamic agriculture.
For the harvest, the orchestra is made up of about fifteen pickers, 2 to 3 people for the “vineyard-press-cellar” trio, a cantinière in the kitchen, and the two of us at the metronome.
We have chosen to vinify all our cuvées using single grape varieties. We even go for the chenins to collect 3 selections at different maturities over a month for the Ancestral Blanc, Les Trois Poiriers and Blet Tendre cuvées. All our production is harvested, vinified, and bottled at the estate. This dream of winegrowers is coming true day after day, with at the start of this madness of youth, passion, and today fulfillment and recognition. We invite you to come and discover our beautiful bowling game.
