About Ktima Tselepos

In 1989, Yiannis and Amalia Tselepos launched an effort to create something new in the field of Greek wines, having only their vision and love for high-quality wine. Today, over 30 years later, their vision for Ktima Tselepos has been fulfilled and one could tell for sure, that they have left their indelible mark on Greek wine.

“Good wines are produced in the winery but fine wines are made in the vineyard” – Yiannis Tselepos

The privately owned vineyard nowadays consists of approximately 65 hectares. Since its foundation, the production of the highest quality wines, while at the same time trying to point out the enormous potential of the indigenous varieties and of each microclimate (terroir).

The Tselepos’ main conviction is that indigenous varieties have all the potential to deliver high-quality wines of great complexity. Moreover, the aim is to preserve and promote the special characteristics of certain international varieties that suit specific vineyards of the estate; for this reason, the estate stresses the emphasis on the production (mainly) of mono-varietal wines.

An immediate goal of the company is the transition towards a more sustainable management of the production, while at the same time, taking specific measures so that they minimize the environmental footprint impact of the estate.
