ABOUT THE PRODUCER

About Ktima Kelesidis Merhali Xinomavro

Ktima Kelesidis Merhali Xinomavro is a classic expression of Xinomavro with flavors and aromas of tomato and olive tapenade, freshly picked strawberries, and raspberries balanced by a medium body, bright acidity, and well-integrated sandy tannins. Long and complex on the finish. Fermentation starts in stainless steel tanks with native yeasts until complete dryness. Aging then takes place in used oak barrels for three years before bottling unfined and unfiltered.

About Ktima Kelesidis

In the heart of the most prestigious wine zone for Xinomavro (Giannakochori, Imathia) Ktima Kelesidis produces PGI Imathia and PDO Naoussa wines with low-intervention care. In this traditional winery, the family creates wines from their own vineyards, paying special attention to all stages of the production process, thus respecting even the most demanding consumer.

The ambition of the family business is the production of high quality wines from organic grapes that will stand out for their exceptional characteristics and their unique flavor profiles. The Kelesidis estate aims to emphasize quality, passion in the production process, and the personal care of the people who work the vineyard and the winery.

The low acreage yields, combined with multiple passes through the vineyard at harvest time, give unique white and red high-quality wines. Red wines are based on Xinomavro and are either single-variety or in combination with the Syrah and Merlot varieties, and mature for at least twelve months in oak.
