ABOUT THE PRODUCER
About Jolete Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon
Jolete Walla Walla Cabernet Sauvignon offers appealing aromas of blue plum, baking spices, and dried herbs. It’s loaded with full-feeling blueberry and cherry flavors that hit the gong hard. A firm sense of tannin and acid structure backs it up. Delivers a lot of quality and value. Sourced from Summit View Vineyard which sits at a northeastern slope, 1200-ft. in elevation on the Oregon side of the Walla Walla Valley. Planted in 2009, 67 acres of six Cabernet Sauvignon clones grow in nutrient-rich Ellingford Silt Loam, atop a base of fractured basalt. The vineyard’s location provides excellent air movement, resulting in frost-free conditions to grow bold yet balanced Cabernet Sauvignon.
About Jolete Wines
In 1998, winemaker Bret Isenhower began production in Walla Walla, Washington with a clear philosophy – produce wines with a lightness of touch and a depth of character. Because of this approach, Jolete Wines began working hand-in-hand with Bret with the 2015 vintage. At harvest, Eric seeks to emphasize acidity, tension, and a lower extraction of tannins to produce an extravagant wine at an exceptional value.
