ABOUT THE PRODUCER
About Grégory Guillaume Koforobé Red Blend
Grégory Guillaume Koforobé Red Blend is a complex dynamo of sea-salted plums and blackcurrants adorned with a cedar-like backbone. Whole-bunches of Merlot and Syrah co-ferment for a month before pressing into the barrel. From a parcel of forty-year-old vines in Alba-la-Romaine (Ardèche).
About Grégory Guillaume
Located in the same village as Les Deux Terres, Villeneuve de Berg, Gregory is one of the youngest winemakers in the region. Similar to the previous estate, he belongs to the new generation of natural producers of Ardèche inspired by the famous wineries of Valvigniere (Le Mazel, Calek…). He started in 2011 with 1.5 ha of vines and now runs 3 ha of Grenache, Merlot, Syrah, Alicante, Chardonnay, Grenache Blanc, all certified organic (Ecocert).
When we asked Gregory why he decided to make natural wines, he simply responded that it’s the only wine he likes to drink. His wines are really fresh and light and are a gorgeous expression of fruit and terroir.
