ABOUT THE PRODUCER

About Gallino Giuseppe Barbera d’Alba

Gallino Giuseppe Barbera d’Alba is an easy-drinking Italian red perfect for your next pizza night. Pomegranate, plum juice, and blackberry juice on the nose and palate. The typical acidity of the vine joins an important structure that derives from the union between Barbera and soils of this type. Juniper and mulberry in the finish. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with a small amount of sulfur.

About Gallino Giuseppe

In the heart of the Piedmontese Roero, in  the town of Canale, 25-year-old Alessandro Gallino decided to  take over his grandfather Giuseppe’s farm after finishing his degree in “Viticulture and Oenology” at the University of Turin (thesis on the reduction of the use of SO2 in enology.)

In their three hectares of land, they focus solely on the production of classic regional varieties Arneis, Barbera, and Nebbiolo. His focus on making his wines with minimal intervention backed by his oenological knowledge has led to excellent results in our experience, especially considering we are working with his second vintage.
