Digby Leander Pink is the perfect wine for summer celebrations. The blend highlights England’s most vibrant Pinot Noir with rich, aged Chardonnay and Pinot Meunier. This blend is ideal for raising a toast at an elegant picnic during a Sunday Brunch or enjoying the sunshine by the ocean.
Leander Pink is a fresh, energetic, and sophisticated English Champagne. It is a laid back wine, but Digby makes each bottle with passion. Digby is proud to represent the best of their brand and England to the world of fizz enthusiasts. Here at Small Wine Shop are thrilled to offer Digby Champagne to Fort Lauderdale.
Stainless steel is the primary fermentation and aging vessel promoting vibrancy. 10% of the final blend spends eight months in neutral French barrique. A judicious blending of white and red components gives this wine its rosé color. Then a partial Malolactic fermentation adds richness to the wine. Next the wine is bottled and spends 24 months resting before disgorgement. The Digby team then hits the wine with a rather high 12 grams dosage, but only to counter the nearly 10-gram tartaric acid in this laser-like wine!
Bearing the club’s distinctive pink hue and hippo motif, Leander Pink offers an energetic, elegant, but more laid back interpretation of the Digby house style. A proportion of sales from each bottle supports the Leander Academy, helping to produce the next generation of champions.
