$32.00

2 in stock

Vintage: 2021
Region: Minervois, France
Viticulture: Organic
Grape varieties: Cinsault, Syrah, and Carignan

Ciry Cattaneo Gargantua Minervois is a natty fruit bomb from Southern France. Red and dark berries are juicy and ripe here, with rustic herbal and spice notes. The tannins are firm but not harsh. Gargantua is a cuvée bringing together 3 grape varieties, harvested in boxes and vinified at low temperatures to promote gentle extraction in order to preserve all the fruitiness of the bunches. The Syrah sees carbonic maceration before natural fermentation, and both the Cinsault and Carignan start spontaneously. Bottled unfined and unfiltered.

About Ciry Cattaneo

Domaine Ciry Cattaneo is situated in the Minervois region of Languedoc, in the south of France. David Ciry studied winemaking and enology in Bordeaux and Reims, before completing his apprenticeship as a winemaker in California, New Zealand, Australia, Russia, Spain, and South Africa. Back in France, he started a winemaking consulting company in 2008 and still consults mostly for small organic wineries in different countries. In 2015 he opened his winery with organic certified old vines of Syrah, Grenache, and Carignan at 400m altitude in Languedoc, working everything manually to produce several 100% terroir-driven microcuvées.
