Derrick Neleman, inspired by the land, tastes, and lifestyle of Mediterranean Spain, created Bodegas Neleman to offer a range of organic–vegan–carbon-neutral wines that reflect a strong belief: wine is a heady celebration of creativity, art, nature, time, delicious taste, and ecologically-sound thinking.
The wines come from organically grown grapes, which means that the winery implements an entirely different set of practices to maintain the vines. Having vineyards free of substances such as herbicides and fungicides creates a totally natural balance as an “eco-system” around and inside the vineyards.
Neleman does not use any animal products to clarify and fine the wines. All the wines from Bodegas Neleman are certified Vegan by the British Vegan Society. They are now calculating our carbon footprint and trying to reduce it.
Neleman’s organic wines are made without the use of pesticides and additives. A healthy and balanced soil yields a richer biodiversity that provides a richer breeding ground for tastier grapes. In addition, taking good care of nature not only serves us with good wine today but more importantly, with good wine till eternity!
