About Barbichette ‘Chette Baker Magnum
Barbichette ‘Chette Baker Magnum is explosive, aromatic, and mesmerizing in the glass. Organic Gewürztraminer macerated with its skins for two weeks. The classic “gewurz” notes of lychee and rose appear at first. But, a special category of magic happens when this juice extracts more from the skins than it’s used to.
Barbichette is proud of their first foray into maceration territory. While orange wine may not be everyone’s cup of tea, this is delicious. The flavor profile shows Darjeeling (black) tea, apricot jam, and a subtle kiss of vanilla. Thus the end result makes this luscious elixir all the more luxurious.
About Barbichette Wines
Barbichette is a collaborative winemaking project brought to you by three friends. César Vega is a coffee professional at Café Integral. Chef Nick Korbee is from Egg Shop NYC. And Caleb Ganzer is a somm at Champagnie des Vins Surnaturels. The trio’s project is experimental in nature and explores what madness they come up with.
About Gewurztraminer
Gewurztraminer (or Gewürztraminer in German-speaking regions) is a pink-skinned grape variety. It produces some of the world’s most distinctive aromatic white wines. Gewurztraminer wines show perfumed aromas ranging from blossom to lychee and orange peel. The wine has a medium-full body, low acidity, and ranges from dry to sweet.
The grape shows a distinctive presence in the Alsace region of northeastern France. But, the grape is nonetheless found in wine regions worldwide.
