Gustavo’s winemaking journey started in 2008 when he worked as a technical advisor for a government-funded program assisting winegrowers across the Itata Valley. During this time, he built a strong network of growers who would later become integral to his winemaking process. In 2013 and 2014, Gustavo worked alongside esteemed natural winemakers Luis Antoine Luyt and Roberto Henriquez, further honing his craft.
Gustavo crafts cuvées that showcase the unique characteristics of single varieties from single vineyards. Working closely with his trusted growers, he encourages them to embrace dry farming practices and eliminate chemicals, resulting in genuinely expressive and sustainable wines.
Gustavo’s approach in the cellar reflects a return to traditional winemaking techniques before mass industrialization took hold. He destems grapes using a zaranda and relies on spontaneous fermentation, following the local Pipeño style. The result is wines that capture the essence of the terroir and the dedication of the growers who have collaborated with Gustavo throughout the years.
Don’t miss this opportunity to experience the remarkable flavors of wines from Chile.
Cheers to the beauty of Chilean winemaking!
