About Anita Chang
Native Chicagoan, Food Enthusiast, Dog Mom
With a degree in Hospitality Management, Chang quit her corporate hospitality job in Chicago and moved down to South Florida in 2008. After a year managing the F&B and catered events at a prominent golf club, she wanted her nights and weekends back so she quit the food and beverage biz. (Or so she thought!)
Even as she worked her ‘9-5’, she always wanted to be involved in (if not surrounded by) food. For five years she worked with a local non-profit and chaired their two annual Chef-centric fundraisers, thereby keeping her finger on the pulse of the local restaurant scene. All the while, she continued to do what she loved catering private parties and perfecting her cooking along the way.
Finally Chang pulled out one of her ongoing “notes” with a list of 50 different dumpling flavors she wanted to try, and DumplingHaus was born.
